Correct or delete collected session data

Fix or remove target runs and behavior records on a session in progress or submitted, before you complete it.

Applies toBCBAOrg Owner

While you review a session, you may find a run with a wrong score, a behavior logged twice or data on the wrong target. You can correct or delete any target run or behavior record on the session, whoever saved it, until the session is completed. Correct the data before you complete the session: completing is what feeds it into the learner's mastery check.

Before you start

  • The session must be In Progress or Submitted. On a Completed session the edit and delete buttons are gone.
  • You correct data in the web app, from the session page. The mobile app has no correction screen for BCBAs.
  • Org owners correct and delete runs and behavior records the same way. The refusal they get when saving new target data in a session does not apply to corrections.

Correct a target run

Open the session. Each target on the Data card lists its runs.

  1. On a target with one run, select Edit Data in its header. On a target with several runs, or one in generalization or maintenance, open its runs and select Edit Run with the number of the run, for example Edit Run 1.
  2. The window you record with opens, with the saved values filled in. Change them and select Save Data.

A message such as DTT data updated successfully appears and the card reloads. The steps and the window for each target type are the same as for your aides: see Correct my data during a session.

Runs judged as a pass or fail

  • A generalization or maintenance run is judged again when you save it, against the target's criteria as they are now, and the window shows the new pass or fail for a moment. The context it was recorded under stays locked.
  • A pass or fail recorded in the Simple mode opens Edit Binary Result. Pick the other result and select Save.
  • If the run's context was deleted, or the target no longer runs maintenance probes, the window explains that the run can't be changed.
  • A generic target's note cannot be emptied. Delete the run instead.

Correct a behavior record

  1. On the Behavior Records card, select the pencil on the record. Edit Behavior Record opens.
  2. For an ABC episode, change the duration, the intensity, the antecedent, the consequence or the notes. For a count or duration summary, change the numbers and the observation time.
  3. Select Save. The message Behavior record updated successfully appears.

A cleared antecedent, consequence or note keeps its old text. To remove the text, delete the record and log it again.

Delete a run or a behavior record

  1. Select the bin next to the run, or on the behavior record.
  2. Confirm with Delete. The window warns that the action cannot be undone.

The message Data run deleted successfully or Behavior record deleted successfully appears. A deleted run or record is gone for good, with no history. The remaining runs keep their numbers.

What happens next

  • Your correction replaces the saved data straight away.
  • When the session is completed, ABACare checks mastery on the corrected data.
  • Editing or deleting a generalization run recalculates that context's standing, so a context that had passed can drop back. A target that has already moved to another status is not moved back. Context badges on the page refresh after a reload.
  • The AI notes are not rewritten. If a correction matters for them, edit or regenerate them: see Review, edit or regenerate AI session notes.
