Set the organization's name and timezone
Rename your clinic, see its headcount at a glance, and set the timezone ABACare uses to decide which day authorized hours and dates fall on.
The organization settings page holds your clinic's name, a few headcount figures and the clinic's timezone. The name appears wherever ABACare shows your clinic, for example in the invitations your team receives. The timezone decides which calendar day a moment in time belongs to: ABACare uses it to count authorized hours day by day, to date authorization periods and their reminders, to date the data collection worksheets it prints, and to decide which day a session falls on, both on progress charts and for targets that count consecutive days.
Before you start
- You work in the web app. Open Settings > Organization in the top menu. The mobile app has no organization settings.
- Only org owners can change these settings.
Rename the clinic
- In the Organization Information card, select Edit. The Organization Name field unlocks.
- Type the new name, up to 100 characters.
- Select Save. Cancel puts back the saved name.
The message Organization updated appears and the field locks again. If the message is Failed to update settings instead, the name was not saved: check that it is not empty and not too long, then try again.
Read the statistics
The Organization Statistics card counts:
- Total Users: every account in your clinic, parents, deactivated staff and invitations not yet accepted included.
- Active Learners: learners who are not deactivated.
- Active Users: accounts that can sign in.
- Total BCBAs: BCBAs whose account is active.
The figures load when you open the page.
Set the clinic's timezone
- In the Authorizations card, open Clinic Timezone. The list shows timezone names such as America/Chicago or Europe/Madrid. Type part of a city's name to filter it.
- Pick your clinic's timezone and select Save under the field.
The message Timezone updated appears. If it is Failed to update timezone, the field keeps your choice unsaved: select Save again.
While your clinic has no saved timezone, the field suggests your computer's timezone with the hint Suggested — not yet saved. Click Save to apply. Nothing changes until you select Save.
What happens next
- Until a timezone is saved, ABACare counts days in UTC. Near midnight, a session can then count toward the wrong day of an authorization, or of a target that counts consecutive days.
- Once saved, the timezone can be changed but not removed.
- The other settings on this page have their own guides: Configure authorization settings, Set auto-complete and editing of submitted sessions, Choose the generalization and maintenance collection mode and Set the default mastery destination for new targets.
- A clinic whose access is suspended can still open this page and change these settings.
