Breadcrumb: Org Owner › Organization settings
Complete the first-run setup
The welcome window a new clinic sees once, the three settings it asks you to check, and where to change them.
The first time you open the web app after registering, ABACare shows a welcome window. It points you to three settings worth checking before your team starts recording therapy data: how generalization and maintenance data is collected, the clinic's timezone, and how authorizations work. The window is only a reminder. You change the settings themselves on the organization settings page.
Before you start
- Only org owners see the window, and only in the web app. The mobile app has none.
- It appears once for the whole clinic. If your clinic has more than one org owner, the first one to close it closes it for everyone.
Open the settings from the welcome window
The window Welcome — a few settings to review opens over your dashboard after you confirm your account. It lists:
- Generalization & Maintenance collection — choose Simple or Granular for your clinic.
- Clinic timezone — used for authorization periods, session dates, and reminders.
- Authorization preferences — parent visibility and how authorized hours are consumed.
- Select Go to settings. The window closes and the organization settings page opens.
- Work through the three settings. Each has its own guide:
- While you are there, decide how long submitted sessions wait before they complete on their own, and whether aides can correct a session after submitting it: see Set auto-complete and editing of submitted sessions.
Maybe later, the X or Esc close the window without opening the settings.
What happens next
- Until you close it, the window opens again each time you open or reload the web app.
- However you close the window, it does not come back, even if you changed nothing. ABACare does not check that you reviewed the settings.
- You can open the same page at any time from Settings > Organization in the top menu.
- Every setting keeps its default until you change it. The clinic's timezone stays unset, and ABACare counts authorization days in UTC until you save one.
