Get started with the in-app guide
Walk through the short Getting Started guide on your Dashboard in the web app, and choose whether it opens again.
The first time you open the Dashboard in the web app, a short Getting Started guide opens over it. In five steps it explains how to log practice, track behaviors and read your BCBA's feedback, and ends with a few tips. You can open it again whenever you like. The mobile app has no such guide.
Before you start
- Sign in to the web app. See Sign in and sign out.
Walk through the guide
- Select Dashboard in the menu. Getting Started opens by itself, while the page behind it is still loading.
- Read the step and select Next. Previous goes back one step. You cannot jump ahead by selecting a step's name.
- The five steps are Welcome to ABACare!, Logging Practice, Tracking Behaviors, BCBA Feedback and Tips for Success.
- To stop the guide from opening by itself, tick Don't show this again at the bottom.
- On the last step, select Get Started. You can also close the guide at any step with the X or the Esc key.
Open it again
Select Help at the top right of the Dashboard. The guide opens at the first step.
This is not the Help at the bottom of every page, which sends a message to the ABACare team. For that one, see Submit feedback or a bug report.
Good to know
- Only Don't show this again stops the guide from opening by itself. If you go through all five steps without ticking it, the guide opens again the next time you open the Dashboard.
- Once you close the guide with the box ticked, the choice sticks: you cannot undo it, but Help still opens the guide.
- Your choice is saved in this browser only. In another browser, on another device or after you clear your browser's data, the guide opens again. If your browser blocks saved site data, it opens every time.
What happens next
The Dashboard stays in view, with your children's progress and sessions. The guide itself changes nothing in your account.
