Manage the organization library
Build your clinic's own library of goals and targets, filed under the treatment library's domains, so your BCBAs can reuse them in any plan.
Besides the treatment library that comes with ABACare, your clinic can keep its own library: the goals and targets your team writes the same way for many learners, with their measurement and mastery settings. You are the one who creates, edits and deletes this content. Your BCBAs see it next to the treatment library when they build a plan, and add a copy of it to a learner's plan in a few clicks.
Before you start
- You work in the web app. The mobile app has no library.
- The clinic's own library depends on your plan: it is not part of the Free plan. On a plan without it, the top menu has no Library. To change the plan, see Change the subscription plan.
- BCBAs cannot change the library, but they can propose goals and targets for it. You decide on each one: see Review library proposals.
Find your way around
Select Library > Org Library. Organization Library shows one card per goal, with its Domain and Subdomain.
- Narrow the cards with Search organization goals..., which searches names, descriptions, domains and subdomains, and with Filter by domain and Filter by subdomain. Clear Filter removes all three.
- With nothing in the library yet, the page shows Build Your Clinic's Playbook and a Create Your First Goal button.
- If the page shows Organization Library Requires a Paid Subscription, your plan does not include the library, or your subscription is not active. View Subscription Plans opens Billing.
Create a goal
- Select Create Org Goal.
- Fill in the Name and, if you want, the Description.
- Pick the Subdomain. The list shows each subdomain with its domain in front of it. This is where the goal sits in the library, and it cannot be changed later.
- Select Create Goal.
A missing name or subdomain shows Name is required or Subdomain is required. Two goals of your library cannot have the same name, whatever the capitals, and neither can two targets of one goal. A duplicate is refused with a message in English and the window stays open. A new goal is added at the end of the list until you reload the page, which sorts the goals by name.
Add targets to a goal
- Select a goal's card. Its targets appear, each with its type and, except for generic targets, its Session score.
- Select Create Target (or Add First Target on an empty goal) and pick the type in Select Target Type: DTT, Frequency, Duration, Rate, Latency, Generic or Task Analysis.
- Fill in the form for that type: the name (at least 3 characters), the description and the measurement and mastery settings, as when a BCBA creates a target in a plan. Every type except Generic has Count different days after its count, off by default: turn it on when the criterion is in consecutive days rather than sessions. A task analysis needs at least two named steps.
- Confirm with the button at the bottom of the form. If something is missing, the field says so and nothing is saved.
Select the back arrow (Back to Goals) to return to the goals.
Edit or delete
- Edit a goal: select the pencil on its card, on the goal list. You can change the name and the description, not the subdomain. Select Update Goal.
- Edit a target: open its goal, then select the target's card or pencil. Edit Target shows the name, the description, the type's settings and the Session score. Select Update Target. The type cannot be changed.
- Delete a goal or a target: select the bin icon. The window says in how many active learner plans it is used and that Clones in learner plans will not be affected. Select Delete, or Cancel to keep it. Delete a goal's targets before the goal: deleting a goal does not delete its targets, and they can no longer be reached.
A description cannot be emptied once saved: clear the text and it stays as it was. Goal editing and deleting are on the goal list only; inside a goal, go back first.
You can also edit or delete your clinic's goals and targets from a plan, in the window where you add goals from the library: see Add goals and targets from the library.
What happens next
- Your BCBAs find the content under My Organization when they add goals from the library, and on Library > Org Library, read only.
- A plan gets its own copy of a library goal or target, with all its settings, Count different days included. Editing or deleting it in the library never changes a plan that already has it.
- The library shows names and descriptions exactly as you typed them, in every language.
- If your clinic's access is suspended for an unpaid invoice, Org Library opens Billing instead: see Pay an invoice and restore access.
